Why is Daryl Hair allowed to umpire?

It has been shown clearly that his umpring skills are unrelaible and he is quite incompetent and he cannot think rationally when under pressure. These are traits need by an umpire, Rational, calm and collective, decisive and non biased. I do not belive Mr Hair has any of these qualities.

He has shown this in his behaviour in the past and more clearly in regard to the match in Engalnd v Pakistan.

His new claims that the fellow umpire was not punished similar to him because of the colour of Mr Hair skin and it was pressured into doing so by PCB.

These claims are hillarious to read and absurd. His colleague and fellow umpire was not punished becuase Mr Hair was the leading umpire on the ground and it was MR Hairs call. The governing body ICC governs all countries and umpires it is not governed by PCB and therefore its decisions are its own. If it was upto PCB im sure Mr Hair would have been sacked from his proffession.

The Match refree should have also be punnished not just Hair

Why is Daryl Hair allowed to umpire?
I really thought he was banned/retired from umpiring. If he was an umpire at a school i would not allow my son to play.
Reply:Umpire Daryl Hair, like most referee's, umpires and sports officals have hard jobs and walk a fine line out there. You get no thanks for what you do from the fans and critics.

He is actually saying things and pointing out a lot of things which have happened in the game and his own thoughts regarding the situations they find themselves in.

A small mix up like this a poor call and he has been really taken to town over it. Yet he was a good Umpire, had the confidence of quite a few teams and players, but on this occasion he was wrong.
Reply:umpiring in other matches rather than international ODI official Cricket matches...i also can do it..you also can ..if money is earned..
Reply:.He needs to be firm on his decision
Reply:What the?.....gee let me guess ...you are a Pakistani?....come on Hair is not umpiring at the Top level any more and the rubbish you put out about his umpiring skills is such dribble that i felt like reporting the question fro abuse....seriously though get your facts sorted before you mouth of with your personal vendetta. In the last assessment of Umpiring Hair was found to be the highest ranked Umpire for correct decisions!! His success rate on review by ICC for correct decisions made on appeals was at a whopping 97% correct.

It would seem the only person that is lacking in ration, collective and non bias is you the asker...

No more hilarious to read than Woolmer murdered, or now the cry from pakistan not to emply a Foreign coach....how mant times do we have to correct the Pakistan team on "Spirit of Cricket"...8 cases of ball tampering in 3 years at test level, two cases of drugs and leniency by the PCB, corruption and everything else.....before anyone can go pointing the finger on other be very sure that you are spotless....and pakistan is a long way from that....Miandad v Lillee..
Reply:Why not Pakistani bowlers have cheated for at least the last thirty years, and Hair is the only one to stand up and say so. It is a pity there are not more like him to remove the cheaters like this Malinga and the other chuckers in the teams still competing unlike the Pakistani's and Indians.
Reply:If that stupid is still umpiring its because the ICC is ruled by the Aussies from the day one and how can they see their "beloved" biased bastard is sitting at home. About this Wrukker I am sure he is an Australian @ss hole. What about Mark Waugh and Shane, your national hero, who admitted for taking money to pass on information about the pitch and that is what ACB said who hushed up the matter in a mysterious way coz they knew how people will hate Australians if they made it public. Miandad Lillee and what you say about whole Australian team who always used obscene language against Asian teams specially Sri Lankans coz they can't handle Murali. What about that mustached bandit Merv Hughes who was a stigma at the name of cricket.
Reply:Basically Pakistan held the ICC hostage by refusing to play in any game officiated by Daryl Hair.and because the subcontinent teams India and Pakistan are giants in the world of cricket, they forced the ICC to give in and sack Hair.Absolute disgrace in my opinion
Reply:i agree but there has to be discipline in the game as far as teams are concerned but ICC has always adopted double standards what if HAIR would have been from different country,he would have been banned.
Reply:All umpires have to make a decision every time a ball is bowled, that makes it a very high pressure job. It is inevitable that mistakes will be made. We all make mistakes at work, but not all of us are being watched by the worlds media and a few million armchair fans. If you average out the number of mistakes by the number of decisions (remember every ball must be a fair delivery and that is a decision to be made by the umpire) then the umpires actually make very few mistakes in a very high profile and stressful job. And yes I am a qualified umpire and yes I am on their side (someone has to be) but I also play the game and respect the umpires decision at all times.
Reply:He is a good umpire.Players should accept the decisions of umpires.I don't no any more about him.
Reply:he has made his fair share of bad decisions but then so has every umpire, it's just that hair has followed the rules closer than some would like, leading to controversy e.g. calling murali for 'chucking' and the ball-tampering incident which as an established umpire i think that he was in a good position to judge the situation and he made a mistake. He tries to enforce rules that other umpires often ignore, which has caused him to be seen as a controversial umpire.
